Get a look behind the scenes of a ski or snowboard competition.

During this competition, fun is paramount and the main aim is to make sure everyone has a great day in the snow. Compete with your classmates for qualification for the final of the NK School Teams!

The slalom competition is open to anyone who can ski or snowboard in turns on a blue slope. The course and slope are designed to make participation possible for everyone.

  • 2 runs on a slalom course - best one counts
  • For ski & snowboard teams
  • For elementary and secondary schools
  • Race fee incl. 8 hours of entry and equipment, excl. clothing
  • 1 free supervisor per team

  • Each team consists of only skiers or only snowboarders.
  • The division between boys and girls is irrelevant.
  • Several ski and/or snowboard teams per school can register.

Tip: the more teams from your school participate, the more chance you have of a place in the national final!
Tip: stand a chance of winning a wildcard spot in the final with a team of which all members are under 10 years of age (born in 2014 or later).

Competition format and rules

  • All participants complete the slalom course twice.
  • The slalom for skiers is stabbed with giant slalom gates, while for snowboarders a slalom with stubbies is stabbed.
  • Of the two correctly achieved times, the personal best time counts towards a participant's overall time.
  • The best three times of the team members added up will count for the team result.

This event is subject to SnowWorld's General Conditions and the General Conditions of Competition & Events of the Dutch Ski Association. In addition, the competitions will be skied according to the Competition Regulations NK Schoolteams.
