Are you between 6 and 12 years old and do you want to learn skiing together with other children? At SnowWorld we offer the 4 week course at level 1! During 4 lessons of 1,5 hours you will learn the basics of skiing. After 6 hours you will master the basic curves and can go down the slopes in a controlled manner.
During the first lesson attention is paid to how to put the skis on and getting used to the skis by doing a variety of exercises. Thereafter the real gliding will begin and the famous “ski plough” will be explained. This will all happen during the first lesson. From the second lesson onwards, attention is paid to making curves. When all goes well these two competencies can be linked together. Thereafter its time to hit the first practice slopes. From the third lesson onwards, we will leave the practice slopes behind and move to the big slopes. From now on its all about making ground. By practicing making curves they will improve this technique and gain more confidence. At the end of the fourth lesson its able for the children to go down the slopes in a controlled manner with the basic curves.
The group is made out of a maximum of 8 children supervised by one of our certified instructors. After completing this course, you can enrol into the intermediate course.
Are you between 6 and 12 years old and want to ski together with other children? Then SnowWorld offers the 4 week course level 2 skiing! During 4 lessons of 1,5 hours, you will learn the basics of skiing. From now on however it is time to work more on the technique and improving taking curves.
The lessons will continue where the last course ended, namely with taking (slow) plow curves on the big slopes. At the end of the lesson the instructor will take the children down a short decent to give the children the true skiing experience and to check the level of the children. Thereafter they will quickly head to the big slopes to go skiing. During this course the pace will gradually increase. By using different playful exercises, children will gain more control over the skis and learn to regulate their speed. The end goal of this course is to get started with taking parallel curves and plow steering (parallel crossing followed by plow curves).

During 4 lessons of 1,5 hours you will learn the basics of skiing. From now on however it is time to work more on the technique and improving parallel curves which the children have learned during the level 2 course.
What is the goal of this 4 week course? The goal is to get to ski with ease and feel relaxed on the skis by applying the before taught techniques. By doing so you will get (less) tired and have a lower chance at injuries, besides that the skiing joy will increase. During the lessons you will learn to use your whole body and work to develop a rhythm during skiing. By leaning how to use speed and steering in curves you will gradually become better. The goal is to ski down the full length of the slope at the end of the course.

During 4 lessons of 1,5 hours you will learn the basics of skiing. From now on however it is time to work more on the technique and improving parallel curves which the children have learned during the level 3 course.
No one is ever finished learning how to ski. That’s why, during this 4 week course, we will dive deeper into the technique of skiing. A lot of attention will be paid to improving the technique. Also more attention will be paid to controlled decent and speed on the skis. Also a beginning will be made with carving and making jumps!

There is no minimum participant number for skiing/snowboarding courses. Tip: classes are often smaller in the summer and pre-season, so you can get more intensive lessons then.
