Children who want to learn how to board can take a 4 week snowboard course at SnowWorld. You will get 55 minutes of lessons per day/week in four weeks to master snowboarding as quickly as possible. During these four days you will spend six hours on the slopes together with the teacher.
Basic skill: I have never snowboarded before.
What does this course look like? You have never snowboarded before. During this course, you will mainly learn the basics of snowboarding. The instructor will explain to participants how to handle a snowboard, followed by the first introduction to gliding. There will be playful exercises focusing on balance. At the end of the course, participants will be able to do a small descent without falling.
When the kids have enjoyed the first level of this course, you can sign them up directly for our slightly advanced course.
Basic skill: I can actively move with a snowboard and keep my balance while gliding without falling.
What does this course look like? As a continuation of the first level, this course focuses on keeping balance on front- and backside. Thus, these lessons will also revolve around balance and perfecting this important basic skill through playful exercises.
The next step in the learning path, first turns, will be taken in the advanced group of the course.
Basic skill: I can keep my balance on front- and backside.
The beginning of the first lesson is again dominated by a short repetition to make sure everyone has mastered sliding on front- and backside again. After this warm-up, it is time to work on the first turns. This will be the main focus during the lessons in the form of fun exercises. As part of the basic skills, you will learn to loosen and fasten your bindings independently.
As a follow-up, it is then possible to progress directly to the advanced group of our course range.
Basic skill: I can make turns and loosen and fasten bindings independently.
If your child has successfully completed the Level 3 course or the necessary basic skills - the first turns - are already mastered, this level will suit him or her well.
During the first lesson, the teacher will again check the level of the group. The aim of this course is to teach descending the large piste with continuous turns. Further work will be done to improve technique and its variable deployment. This will therefore be the focus of subsequent lessons. Combined with fun exercises, the teacher will ensure that these little snowboarders will develop into all-round shredders, taking into account the safety aspect.
After receiving their diploma and black medal, SnowWorld has a few more options to ensure that the kids can still maintain and even improve their snowboarding level. For example, there is the possibility of progressing to the course for 6-12-year-olds, where technique and attitude will be worked on further.
The group consists of a maximum of eight participants aged between 4 and 5 years under the supervision of a qualified teacher.
There is no minimum number of participants in a snowboard course. Tip: In the summer and early season, the classes are often smaller, so you can get more intensive lessons.
